Today is Memorial Day! Many have barbecue plans, picnics, swimming in the pool, beach days and getaways. Many battling tropical storm Beryl as it hit the North East Coast last night, putting a damper on three-day holiday plans for many. Those are all great family fun past times to enjoy as we welcome the lazy days of summer in and enjoy it with our families. However the reason that we can do these things is because men and women have chosen to protect our country and many have lost their lives doing so. Today let us remember those families who have lost a son, daughter, mother, father, brother, sister, friend, husband or wife while serving in the military so that we can have freedom to enjoy life here in the United States.
