A Dinosaur Sized Wedding!

 February 25, 2013 ·

Bride and Groom: Tiffany and Kyle

Wedding Date: Oct 27th, 2012

Venue: Orlando Science Center

Photography: Pilster Photography

When we first came across this wedding submitted to us by Rosie at 27Miracles , we thought it was one of the coolest weddings we’ve seen…

Here is why:

So, let’s check out how beautiful even the beginning of this day and ceremony was:

So much detail was placed into each table centerpiece, based upon the adventures of the newlyweds:

Even their cake spoke about who they were as a couple!

It’s amazing how romantic the backdrop of such a venue can be…..

Congratulations to Tiffany & Kyle!

We cannot leave the following vendors out, for making this amazing wedding possible!

What is Brides Against Breast Cancer?

Brides Against Breast Cancer contributes to programs for cancer patients and their families. Our outreach and educational efforts during our “Tour of Gowns” bridal shows around the country help ensure that people impacted by cancer have the resources and information they need in their battle with cancer.

Brides Against Breast Cancer Nationwide “Tour of Gowns”

With more than 32 yearly shows, the “Tour of Gowns” provides brides-to-be with an opportunity to find their dream gown (at an incredible savings) while making wishes and dreams come true for women and men who are losing their fight against breast cancer.

The worldwide support of designers, manufacturers, bridal shops and individuals (who donate a most treasured possession) make possible the Nationwide Tour of Gowns sales. The proceeds from these events help bring a moment of joy into world of someone for whom a cure is too late.

Adriana Yanez

Adriana Yanez of Deltona died on Feb. 20 after a battle with breast cancer. Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation granted her a wish: to reimburse a friend, who paid $2,000 to fly Yanez’s parents from Venezuela to Florida to be with her. Yanez died before the wish was granted.

Orlando Sentinel Article, March 14th, 2010

Beverly Zaldivar slipped into six or seven wedding gowns before she found the “one” at the Brides Against Cancer’s nationwide Tour of Gowns in Orlando. She did not plan to spend that much on a dress, but the off-white Lila Couture was a steal at the discounted price of $559. Zaldivar was willing to splurge. After all, she never dreamed of trying on a wedding gown after a battle with breast cancer — one she thought she was going to loss.

“When I was going through chemotherapy, I sat down with my dogs and I told them mom is going.” Zaldivar, 55, said.

Zaldivar, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2000, is undergoing reconstruction on her right breast after it was removed. As a survivor, she said it was important she find a dress there for her Aug. 28 wedding in Spring Hill.

The money from the gown sales goes to the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation based in Portland, Ore. The nonprofit group grants wishes for men and women battling terminal breast cancer. In the U.S., a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every three minutes and a woman dies from the disease every 13 minutes, according to the nonprofit.

Many cancer patients ask to go to Orlando’s theme parks for one last family vacation, said Elise Enloe, the state coordinator for the Brides Against Breast Cancer. “They spend every last penny on their doctor’s appointments and day care [when] they have to go to chemotherapy. There’s nothing left for fun vacations,” she said.

The nonprofit has granted wishes to more than 60 people, according to their Web site.

Adriana Yanez of Deltona was one of them. A friend, also a single mom, decided to pay $2,000 to fly her parents from Venezuela to Central Florida after her health began to deteriorate rapidly and fund-raising was trickling in. “She really wanted her mom there. … She had no family here,” said Rosie Moore, another friend involved in the fund-raising.

But Yanez dreamed of paying back the money. Moore, a volunteer with the Tour of Gowns, connected her to the nonprofit. “It meant the world for her that someone was willing to help,” said Moore, a wedding planner from Windermere. Yanez, 44, lost her battle to cancer Feb. 20 before Making Moments could provide her the money. But her wish did not go unheard.

Making Memories plans to drop in the mail a check for her friend on Monday, said spokeswoman Erin Scharf.

The Tour of Gowns kicked off Friday at The University Club at 150 E. Central Blvd. More than 900 dresses were donated by designers, manufactures and stores. They are priced from $99 to $3,000, but most run between $700 and $1,500. Brides-to-be can still shop on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enloe expects about 80 to 100 women at the three-day event.

Danielle Damato, 33, drove from Ocala in search of a gown for her upcoming wedding. Like most women at the event, cancer has affected people in Damato’s life. Her friend was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her father had skin cancer removed from his head. And her mother, Patricia Damato, is battling lymphoma.

Patricia Damato, of Crystal River, said shopping for the dress with her daughter gives her a chance to look to a brighter future and “not to dwell” on her battle with cancer.

“I want to think of the future — her wedding. … I’d like to see Danielle give me a grandchild,” she said.

Zaldivar said the event also encourages the brides-to-be to care for their health. Zaldivar caught the breast cancer in its early stages after a self-examination.“Make sure you get your check-ups … depend on yourself,” she said.

Why Video is Necessary…The Wedding of Tiffany and Kyle….Eco Friendly Green Wedding

To capture pictures at a wedding is a beautiful thing as you imagine what the facial expressions mean and what they were saying to each other; but when you combine the pictures with video, that is when you can see those facial expressions come to life.  27 Miracles sometimes gets brides that ask is a video really necessary?  Our reply is most definitely, not that we have anything to gain from it, but the memories that you will have after the wedding to share with family, friends and your children for years to come will be worthwhile for the investment.

Tiffany our bride had done the research about this tree being eco-friendly she wanted to know the history of everything that would be the most important day of her and Kyle’s life.  With their reception amongst the oldest animals on the planet, the dinosaurs.  Congratulations to Tiffany and Kyle on their eco-friendly green wedding!!!

What a Groom Would Not Do For The Love of His Life

How did you spend Valentine’s Day yesterday?  Are you still celebrating throughout the weekend?  Here is a short video expressing a groom’s love to his bride.

27 Miracles as you all know that follow our blog, loves a good surprise.  Some of you know us for our Rose or Sparkler Surprise.  Well this is a first, this is a cookie surprise.  Being that Tiffany and Kyle were celebrating a green wedding, there were no flowers or sparklers.  We used cookies and they were each a different animal.  But here the groom is singing to the bride and that was the reason for the distraction. What a true expression of love when you listen to the words of the song.  For Kyle to sing that took a lot as we encouraged him, but he really wanted to surprise his bride.

What a nice way to end the evening!

A Green Wedding Tiffany and Kyle 10/27/12

Happy Valentine’s Day!! Remember our Valentine’s Day Couple last year Tiffany and Kyle?  Here is the  link in case you missed it…. https://27miracles.com/2012/02/14/happy-valentines-day-and-happy-engagement-to-tiffany-and-kyle/

Well here it is a year later.  They tied the knot and had a beautiful green wedding.  So sit back and enjoy the pictures of this most unique wedding.

Tiffany and Kyle are 27 Miracle’s very first couple who picked their wedding date to be on the 27th of the month!! Many have tried but none have been able to get it to work so that it would be on a Saturday in the month of their choice. Tiffany and Kyle, otherwise none also as our Tuesday couple( their days off together…) came to Rosie Moore of 27 Miracles a few days after they got off their cruise to Alaska with the exciting news, they were getting married.  Rosie was one of the first people to know.  What an honor!! The planning for the green eco-friendly wedding was to begin.  The planning went on for 15 months.

They started out with an engagement session at Discovery Cove, this is where Kyle works.  Chad captured this lovely couple and the love of birds that they share.  Discovery Cove at SeaWorld Orlando in Orlando, Florida engagement session of Tiffany and Kyle KT3Q6361-2 Discovery Cove at SeaWorld Orlando in Orlando, Florida engagement session of Tiffany and Kyle

Now 10/27/12 came with a bit of uncertainty, you see it was the weekend of hurricane Sandy.  Now we all know in Florida that hurricane season goes through November 30, however most times Florida is pretty safe after September 30.  Well this hurricane missed Florida, however the effects of the rain and dreary conditions did not.  We had rehearsal day inside of the Science Center because of the downpour of rain.  It was almost a guarantee that the rain would hit Saturday.  What a disappointment.  We had three back ups depending on whether the rain would come or not.  Rosie of 27 Miracles wanted to do everything in her power to make this happen under the 300- plus-year-old tree, it was there before the signing of the US Constitution!! Tiffany our bride had done the research about this tree being eco-friendly she wanted to know the history of everything that would be the most important day of her and Kyle’s life.  She worked with her trusted vendors  Kevin and Nicole at the Forcasting Consultants Company to get up to the minute weather on whether it was possible to take a chance outdoors for the ceremony.

On the morning of the wedding the girls all went out to get their nails done.  While all this was going on, 27 Miracles had their team with rain gear outdoors at the lakefront having planner Amanda test the grounds with her high heels and see if it was safe to have the ceremony outdoors.  She gave the thumbs up at 10am.  But Rosie Moore wanted to personally share the good news with Tiffany when she was at the hotel getting dressed. What joy to find out that the event was outdoors!!! Tiffany and Kyle’s dreams were coming true.

Prior to Tiffany and Kyle saying their I Do’s they had a “Not First Look” what is that you say, exactly that, they are around the corner or holding hands but without looking at each other until their eyes meet when they walk down the aisle.

Tiffany and Kyle were married under the 300-year-old tree as planned.  Tiffany barefoot and Kyle in his boots! The decor by Suzanne Nichols Design showcased the rustic look that Tiffany and Kyle were trying to create outdoors with candles and an aisle of twigs.  The chairs from A Chair Affair were fanned out to be able to fit everyone under the tree.

Considering the gray, dreary cool day that it turned out to be
