Tiffany and Kyle’s Real Green Wedding

2013

Kyle and Tiffany were married on October 27th, 2012 at The Orlando Science Center in Orlando, Florida. These fun animal lovers met in 2006 while working at Discovery Cove. Tiffany started working with birds and now works with rhinos, while Kyle works with dolphins. The couple began dating in July 2007 and a few years later in 2011 they took a trip to Alaska  where Kyle proposed!

A few days after returning home from Alaska, Tiffany and Kyle went to Rosie Moore of 27Miracles, a Master Bridal Consultant and Travel Agent and asked her to help plan their dream green wedding.

Holding their wedding at a hands-on science center was a perfect choice for these two; Pilster Photography captured all the fun moments on their special day.

Here, Tiffany and Kyle pose for a “Not The First Look” moment. Other beautiful moments were captured on video by MegaPixelPro.

Tiffany wore a beautiful gown from The Collection Bridal located in Winter Park, Florida. She accented her dress with a green bejeweled sash, a necklace and beautiful green earrings. Her hair and makeup was done by Candi Eckstrom.

Her bridesmaids wore lovely green dresses with unique blue, green and white bouquets to match Tiffany’s arrangement.

The couple were married under a 300 year old tree that has been in existence since before the signing of the U.S. Constitution. Tiffany and Kyle wanted to create a rustic, outdoorsy look underneath this spectacular tree. With the help of Suzanne Nichols Design, they had the aisle lined with twigs and candles.

Guests were spread out underneath the tree in simple white rental chairs by A Chair Affair. Renting chairs made it easier for the bride and groom during set up time, plus, the chairs are used again and again for wedding celebrations and other events.

Cocktail hour was held on the terrace of the Science Center overlooking the lakefront. Tiffany’s bouquet was made from recycled soda bottles made by Di St. Jacques-Blue. The entire wedding was flower free so they did not have to ship in flowers or spend extra money on fresh blooms.

The reception was held on the 4th floor of The Orlando Science Center, home of Dino Diggs.

Kyle and Tiffany had each table at the reception include a picture of them from important trips they took together. They took their first trip together to Augustine, Florida, and documented it on one table. Other tables included Alaska, the place where they were engaged, and a hiking trip to the Grand Canyon. This added a fun and personal touch to each table, sparking conversation amongst their guests.

The event was catered by John Michael Events, a company out of Central Florida concerned with green practices. They recycle at all of their facilities and events, conserve energy using energy efficient lighting and water outtake controls, and only use organic and all natural foods (no processed or preserved foods ever).

The cake was created by Party Flavors and was decorated with fondant birds, rhinos and dolphin tails. It was placed on a rustic barrel with greenery around it for extra color and charm.

The newlyweds enjoyed their own personalized glasses and sat at their own “Mr. and Mrs.” table.

Kyle left his hat to join Tiffany and dance…Miami Pro DJ’s kept the dance floor packed all night long.

The bride and her bridesmaids posed for fun pictures using “props” found in the science center.

And finally, the lovely day has come to an end! Tiffany and Kyle pose for a moment to say “Thank You!”

Tiffany and Kyle left their wedding and headed for their honeymoon in the Australian Outback! What better way to celebrate your love than in a country with so many unique ecological areas and animals? These newlyweds had the time of their lives and will remember the unique green touches they included on their special day for years to come.
