In current times, phones and other electronic devices are used daily. Texting, taking pictures, and posting statuses on Facebook are just a few ways our days are spent. While social networking websites make it easier to communicate with others, this can also take time away from enjoying the company of friends and family.
Would you be comfortable with your attendees using their phones during your wedding ceremony? How would you feel if someone jumped up from their seat to take a picture and blocked the view for others? This can be distracting.Your wedding day is focused on you and your significant other so do not be afraid to restrict the use of electronic devices if that is what you request. This is a new trend known as an “unplugged wedding.”
If this type of wedding interests you, I would suggest placing a basket where your attendees will enter at the ceremony venue so they can drop off their phones and other devices. However, when the ceremony is over, let the picture taking commence. I am sure your friends and family will want pictures to remember this celebration. To sum up, there is a time for everything.
