Who said Rehearsal Dinners Couldn’t Be Fun?

When Alicia and Mike were thinking about planning their rehearsal dinner, they wanted something fun that would speak about who they are and yet not so formal so as not to take away from the wedding.  Alicia wanted to also surprise Mike, with something to remind him of New York….

27 Miracles’ planned on having their rehearsal at the International Palms Hotel where a human chess board, pool tables, beach volley ball, fire pits and the best thing of all would be available to this fun group…a place where Gator Tales could be told.

You might ask, why Gator tales what is so big about that?  Well for die-hard Seminoles Fan, Alicia, think about it…..

Dinner was amazing with three choices for guests to select!

Being in Love and Having A Good Time at Your Wedding

Are you a fan of the movie, Dirty Dancing, featuring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey? Well, the terrific tune of the day is a popular song from the movie; “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” was originally sung by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes.

dirtydanceing

This song describes the feeling of being in love and having a good time. Due to the joyful feeling this song brings, it is a great last dance song choice. Guests can be invited to the dance floor to enjoy this last lively song as well.

Bridezillas How to Handle Them

27 Miracles every now and then encounters a good reading article.  here is one from AAWP on Bridezillas.

“One of the major bridal magazines wrote an article they entitled Brides Behaving Badly. We guess it’s their take on the “Bridezilla” phenomena that has swept the country-even resulting in a TV show of the same name. Good Grief! Why is it that an engagement ring becomes a bride-to-be’s license to be haughty, witchy (for want of a better word ) and demanding. The article in Elegant Bride gives this advice, “Don’t treat these people (family members, friends, etc.) like your loyal subjects.” We take it one step further, “Don’t treat them like slaves.”

One of our consultants told us of a bride who told her pastor that he was NOT to walk in front of her during the ceremony because she wanted everyone to see her. This same bride called her fraternal grandparents two days before the wedding and told them she didn’t care if they attended her wedding or not-and she never ordered them a corsage or boutonniere from the florist. We can proudly say that our AAWP consultant did the right thing and when the grandparents showed up at the ceremony, she provided them with flowers! The grandmother was teary eyed in appreciation. The bride, however, went ballistic on our consultant, telling her she had no right to do what she’d done-and told her to take the flowers from the grandparents. Our consultant refused and told this Bridezilla that she had done the right thing! And she did.

Another of our AAWP consultants wrote about a bride who threw a tantrum in a bridal shop. Her mother, obviously used to this behavior, simply turned to her and said, “Did you take your Prozac today, dear?” An owner of a large, elegant bridal salon in Boston, told us that a bride told her to *** *** when she was told that she needed an appointment to try on gowns. WHAT?! Let’s get a grip here!

A wedding is but one event in your life-and it is THE DAY to be most gracious hostess you can be. It’s your job to plan your wedding with civility and kindness. Be kind, be civil and always put yourself in the other person’s shoes. Make your fiancé proud of you though all the stress, rigors, and emotions of wedding planning. He’s the one who should say, “WOW, what a woman! Nothing shakes her. I know that she’ll be able to handle any situation that comes up in our life just because of the wonderful, common sense way that she’s tackled this wedding.” Happy Weddings All! ” http://www.aa-wp.com/wedding-planning/

27 Miracles is here to relieve your stress and they have had their share of not so pleasant brides and grooms or bridal party members and or parents and even a vendor or two who lack professionalism.  But at the end of the day, the 27 Miracles team maintains their professionalism throughout the verbal attacks and continue to do what they are hired to do  best, Make Miracles happen.  Although they have a bridezilla clause in their contract, they have only had to use it once.  By far Rosie Moore, Master Bridal Consultant says, “I have some of the best clients and vendors and so glad to be working with them.”  So as 27 Miracles will say, ” this is your wedding day, enjoy it, those short 4-5 hours after a year-long of planning happen so fast, do not sweat the little details, let us handle them for you.  Leave the family squabbles at home and enjoy the day.  Why? Because at the end of the day, regardless of what happened, you will both be just as married.  So, isn’t it better to just enjoy the day and give people something t talk about for years?  When people say that was the best wedding we attended?

Happy Planning!!

Cutting the Cake and All Too Favorite Tradition

Throughout the wedding day, traditions are followed to symbolize the unity between a bride and groom. For example, a bride and groom cut a slice of their wedding cake and share the slice together, representing their unity as husband and wife.

Since cutting the cake is an important part of the wedding day, a song should be chosen for this moment. Today’s terrific tune of the day is “Sugar Sugar” by The Archies. While this song is an oldie, it describes love in a sweet, fun way. Pun intended.

The song, “Sugar Sugar,” will emphasize the experience, creating a memorable wedding reception.

Wedding After Party, Trending

Have you ever had too much fun at a wedding that you didn’t want it to end? Well, this year offers a new trend of weddings lasting longer throughout the night. In other words, weddings may have an “after party.”

This trend is becoming more common for younger couples. The entire process of a wedding can make up most of the day, but some couples prefer time after the wedding to party aside from a sit down reception. An after party can be added to the schedule after the reception so that the couple may continue to enjoy the company of their family and friends.

For an after party, make sure to have transportation arranged for your guests. Also, this part of the night will most likely be more casual so let your guests know if an outfit change is needed.

After a nice early day ceremony it is time to bring in the night time fun with an after Party at Bong’s in Downtown Disney with the Latin Flare of the Islands

Relax, dance, enjoy a few drinks, and have fun! It’s your wedding day after all.

On the other hand, have you considered your send off?

The send off occurs after the reception in which your guests send you off to leave the venue as a married couple.  Sparklers, bubbles, artificial snow, or confetti can be a great addition to a send off.

Before deciding to add special items to your send off, consider these tips.

A large amount of space is needed. Depending on the number of guests attending, you will need to find a large amount of space that can be used for the send off. If you are interested in an extravagant send off, find a venue that has a spacious outdoor area.

Or you can have a secret escape while the guests are doing their last dance and sneak off to Downtown Disney for some kid fun!KBJ Wedding Pictures 886

Check with the venue. Venues have policies for the usage of sparklers and other special items.  Due to liability and safety issues, some locations will not allow the use of these items at all.

Or ask your 27 Miracles Planner, they will make sure to get the right sparklers for you and instruct your guests how to use them.

Getting In Shape for The Big Day

From the moment that a bride becomes engaged she starts to think, “oh I better lose some weight to fit in my dress.” But in today’s busy schedule for working women there isn’t always enough time to plan the wedding, spend time with the fiance, work , shop for wedding items and then fit working out at the gym and taking Zumba or a spinning class.  Something has to give but what?

Rosie Moore, Master Bridal Consultant for 27 Miracles, prides herself to say that as a nurse event planner she takes care of her brides with extraordinary care.  As a nurse event planner she will look after your health financially in planning your wedding but also your physical and emotional health with the highs and lows of the emotions involved in planning your wedding.  Rosie could not do this all on her own, so when she hires her team, she makes sure that her team is on the same page of excellence in service, taking care of you, the bride,  with Extraordinary Care. See one of Rosie’s brides below as she is at her final fitting after a year-long planning service is about to be fulfilled.

Now getting back to how 27 Miracles can help you balance the time.  Well,  you have to work so that the wedding can be paid for.  You have to spend time with your fiance’ because you need to cultivate the relationship.  You have to sleep.  The only thing left is working out at the gym or planning your wedding, you need to do both.  So the logical method is contract a wedding planner to help you do the all the legwork and have your workout.  Your planner can help you make decisions based on experience, budget, likes and dislikes and dreams that you have  for your special day.

So some tips for losing weight or maintaining the weight you have:

10001552_10152294377579893_1269711762_n

-eating smaller portions

-identifying sources of empty calories in your diet, like sugary snacks

-eat more fruit and vegetables

-eating leaner low-fat meat and dairy products

-eating  your calories not drinking them.  Engagement time is also a time of having parties or just hanging out with the girls , choose your beverages wisely

-exercising, this is the best way to burn those calories.  So  cardio and strength training is the best .  If you are able, incorporate a trainer in your plan, that will help you to learn how to work out with just the right equipment.  Or join a group class at the gym and that will also help you with some of the strength training classes offered.

27 Miracles can always refer you to a personal trainer…

As Bianca personal trainer and Spin instructor says:

“If today you are on the fence about whether you should move forward with something or not, whether it could be the right or wrong decision…..YOU WILL NEVER KNOW!!!! ……unless you follow that little voice in your head, to go with your instincts, to go with what you aspire and not to worry about the rest! Things will always work out and remember there is NO wrong decision because we learn from EVERY SINGLE experience EVERY SINGLE DAY! So put your big boy and big girl pannies on and GO FOR IT!!!!!! Have a good night!!!!!” – Bianca
