First Touch On Your Wedding day

It’s become tradition for the bride to avoid seeing the groom before the wedding ceremony. This tradition actually began due to arranged marriages. The groom was not allowed to see the bride for fear that the groom would change his mind and no longer want to get married. Times have changed, but this tradition is still practiced worldwide.

On the other hand, weddings no longer require this tradition.  A popular option for couples has been the “first look” in which the bride and groom schedule time before the ceremony to see each other.  If you want to incorporate the tradition while staying in contact with your fiance on your wedding day, a good tip is to schedule a “first touch” instead of a “first look.”

With a first touch, you and your fiance will be able to hold each other’s hand and communicate without seeing each other. This moment must be planned well. The perfect area of your venue needs to be selected to avoid the chance that you may get a glimpse of your fiance.

Make up and Hair and St Patrick’s Day!!!

One of the most important parts of beauty on your wedding day is your hair and makeup.  While you may have years of practice putting makeup on and styling your hair, don’t worry about doing these tasks on your wedding day.

Your wedding should be stress free. Just relax in that comfortable chair while you get pampered by a professional hair and makeup artist. You will want your makeup to last all day long, and the same goes for your hairdo.  A professional artist understands your needs and only uses the best equipment  and products so that your look lasts throughout the entire wedding day.

Also, a professional hair and makeup artist ensures that you are photo ready. A great artist will apply makeup considering the light that may reflect when a photo is taken. Your overall look matters to professionals.

A Super Charged Wedding vs An Unplugged Wedding

With the new trends of technology, there is also a trend which is the opposite of an “unplugged” wedding. This is called a “supercharged” wedding.

At a “supercharged” wedding, not only are electronic devices allowed, but they are also encouraged.  You will find cameras, tablets, phones and more.  Guests will likely be taking pictures and updating statuses on social networking websites such as Facebook and Twitter.  This can be a neat way to keep everyone updated and share pieces of the wedding from multiple perspectives, not just from  the view of the photographer and videographer.

If this style of wedding interests you, do not forget to mention it on your wedding website and invitations.  A “supercharged” wedding should be just that, a wedding with the use of lots of technology.

Were You and Your Fiance Friends Before Dating?

Some romantic relationships first start out as great friendships. If you and your significant other fall under this category, there’s no need to hide it. Share your love story through your wedding reception playlist.

Ashleigh and Jason were just that Friends before they became romantically involved and tehy chose this song for their wedding.

It’s a song  about loving your best friend and being happy having that person in your life.

“Lucky” was released in 2009. It’s a modern song about feeling lucky to have fallen in love with your best friend. Both “Lucky” and “You’re My Best Friend” are great additions to the reception playlist.

Having Your Wedding in A Church

Maybe an intimate wedding suits you more than a large hotel wedding. How does a traditional ceremony in a church sound?  If you are looking to have your wedding in a church setting, that is not your home church, contact 27 Miracles 407-905-5454 for referrals to different churches based on your  denomination and one of our planners will guide you through the process.

Beauty and Flowers on Your Wedding day

Did you know that your bridal bouquet is also part of your beauty on your wedding day?  You may say how so?  When you walk in to the ceremony everyone is looking not only at your hair, your make up and your dress, they are looking at your bouquet, all of these things combined add to the entire bridal image.  When your photographer is taking pictures before the ceremony with your bouquet, he/she is creating beautiful portraits that later on will become part of your album.

Your bouquet should be uniquely your own, to go with the style your dress.  Think of what your favorite flower is and what colors you want to showcase in your bridesmaids dresses and their bouquets.

Here are a few popular flowers and the meaning behind them:

Apple Blossom-Good Fortune

Baby’s Breath -Pure Heart

Blue Violet-Faithfulness

Blue Bell-Consistency

Carnation-Distinction

Chrysanthemum- Friendship

Daffodil-Loyalty

Forget-Me-Not- True Love

Forsythia-Anticipation

Gardenia-Joy

Gladiolus-Generosity

Iris-Wisdom

Ivy-Fidelity

Lily-Purity and Innocence

Lily of the Valley-Happiness

Magnolia-Nobility

Orange Blossom-Purity and Fertility

Orchid-Beauty

Peony-Happiness

Rose-Deep Love (Rosie Moore’s Personal Favorite!!)

The Father Daughter Dance

Will your father be attending your wedding? A great way to involve your father at your wedding is by having a father daughter dance at the reception. When considering song choices, do not overlook the song choice for this particular dance.  Including dances at your reception, “your wedding day should be everything you dreamed of…”

A popular yet sweet song for the father daughter dance is “Butterfly Kisses” by Bob Carlisle. This song will touch the hearts of all your guests. It is perfect for this dance since it includes lyrics about the love a father has for his daughter as she grows up and finally gets married.

Destination Weddings

Is Orlando too close to home for you to have your wedding? Maybe you enjoy exploring new areas, or you find the outdoor scenery beautiful. If so, then a destination wedding might be the right choice for you.

Below is a video of an event coordinated by Rosie Moore, Master Bridal Consultant. Located about an hour west of Orlando, this event was executed at the beautiful Bella Collina Country Club in Montverde, FL.

Whether it is an hour away or a country away, a destination wedding gives you the opportunity to enjoy a vacation away from your local area.  Regardless of the location, we can help create a style for your wedding as previously noticed in the Hawaiian Luau video.

Maybe you are looking to have a wedding outside of the United States. We have worked with Sandals Resorts to provide accommodations not only for honeymoons but also for destination weddings. With locations such as the Bahamas, Antigua, and Jamaica, your destination wedding will undoubtedly feel like a relaxing and romantic vacation.

Stress Getting to You?

As Monday starts the week off, many do not look forward to waking up early with hours of work ahead of them. To obtain the energy needed to get through the day, some take the time before work to drink a cup of coffee. Have you ever considered how this routine can affect your health?

bride-drinking-coffee-18292875

We, at 27 Miracles, want you to look and feel your best on your wedding day. This begins with releasing any stress you may feel. During the wedding planning process, don’t let school or work stress you out.  Instead of drinking a cup of coffee, how about drinking a warm, calming tea? Coffee has its own benefits such as lower risk of Type II diabetes, but adding sugar and creamer to your coffee does not help.

cup-of-tea

Also, prioritize your work so that you can still get a good night’s rest. Having an organized schedule can go a long way. A good tip is to set aside time in the morning to meditate on your goals for the day, starting your day with a positive attitude and motivation.

Marry Me…..Proposals and Wedding Day Fun…

An upbeat song may not be appropriate as a song to walk down the aisle to, but you can still find a way to incorporate the song if you would like. Take “Marry You” by Bruno Mars as an example.

This song has been popularized with proposals and weddings as well. It’s a fun song about saying yes and marrying the love of your life. However, how can you walk down the aisle to such an upbeat song? Songs such as “Marry You” can be performed by instrumentals and switched into a softer version. Or the song can be used at a reception like 27 Miracles used at the wedding of Kimberly and Steve during their famous Rose Surprise!

Also, if you are a huge Bruno Mars fan, check out this page for more wedding song ideas.
