Today is World Prematurity Day. The March of Dimes describes it as “November 17 is World Prematurity Day when we focus everyone’s attention on the global problem of premature birth. Join us in raising awareness.” Wear purple in support of pre-mature babies and raising awareness. Many people who have never been affected by having a premature baby or know anyone that has had one, really do not know or understand the challenges that these parents and little ones endure. Some of these babies do not make it due to the complications that they have. Some make it and have so many disabilities that they are dependant on care for the rest of their lives and others do make it with minimal to no disabilities.
27 Miracles and A Story of Faith are supporters of World Prematurity Day to raise awareness about prevention of premature birth whenever it is possible. But when it is circumstances beyond one’s control, what we want to ask is that you be sensitive to parents of preemies and offer love and support. Sometimes the unspoken word means more than the spoken word. A simple hug, a meal delivered to the home, an offer to take the siblings to school or for an afternoon of play time.
Rosie Moore, Master Bridal Consultant and event planner for 27 Miracles knows this first hand. On October 13, 2009, she delivered a baby boy by emergency c-section, due to the health of the baby and her own. Rosie had stroke level high blood pressure without a single symptom or abnormal lab test. She is lucky to be alive and that she received the prenatal care needed or the high blood pressure never would have been detected until it was too late.
Today Kaleb, born at 27 weeks, 1lb and 10oz, is a growing boy. He receives speech therapy and occupational therapy to be assist him with feeding aversions from long-term intubation and tube feedings via a gtube. He has one kidney and still has issues with his lungs when he gets a simple cold. But God has blessed him with energy, health and intelligence.
Rosie Moore, wrote a book called A Story of Faith. The story of Rosie Moore, including the events preceding the miraculous birth of her son, Kaleb. Barely 1 pound, 10 ounces at birth, Kaleb is a LIVING MIRACLE from God. Readers will enjoy this short story surrounding this love story built on prayer, God’s intervention, and the wonderful gift of faith given to people of ordinary means. How God intervenes in a person’s life and how our current troubles may be a hidden blessing in your life, coming directly from the master planner. Part of the proceeds from the book goes to an organization called Nathaniel’s Hope which is a special needs ministry, to help children with special needs. Today her book is being read world wide in the United States, Mexico, Germany, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and more. Purchase your copy today to read the whole story.
