Valentine’s Day Celebrated World Wide

Valentine’s Day is celebrated worldwide by many as a day where people write each other cards, exchange gifts, and spread love and romance. What is the meaning of all this? Well, legends surround the history of this holiday, and according to Shannon Summers from Spoonful, “Valentine performed secret marriages for soldiers and their sweethearts…”  In this particular story, Valentine is portrayed as a priest who strongly approved of romantic relationships.

It is obvious that Valentine’s Day began due to the idea of romance, and it continues to be celebrated as a way to show how much you care for your loved ones. Throughout the year, work, school, and other commitments may stand in the way of planning romantic dates with your significant other; therefore, for couples around the world, this holiday means more than just the casual date to the movies or going out for a slice of pizza. This holiday is a day in which you can set aside time for a romantic evening with your significant other, focusing on each other and strengthening your relationship.

A great example of this is my dear brother, Ralph, and his longtime girlfriend, Kimberly. While living in a busy city, they each have hectic schedules consisting of work and other personal goals. This Valentine’s Day, 2/14/2014, happens to be on a Friday which is a great way for this couple to relax and enjoy each other’s company after such a busy and stressful week. The excitement builds up as the day approaches for Ralph and Kimberly, and a romantic dinner awaits them.

Are you counting down the days? 27 Miracles certainly is. What better way to end a stressful week than to relax with the one you love.

27 Miracles Countdown to Christmas Day 24

“Be Very Blessed”

“On this Christmas Eve, take a moment to write down all the people and things for which you are grateful.  Remembering those who have blessed us is to be renewed and restored in the meaning of life, says Richard Olson a retired Lutheran Pastor and National workshop leader.”

Today as we get ready to celebrate Christmas Eve with friends and family, let us remember that the reason we have Christmas to celebrate today is because of Christ, who was born of the Virgin Mary so that we may have life everlasting.  Merry Christmas to all and remember ” Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” Hebrews 13:2

Merry Christmas from the staff of 27 Miracles to you!

Celebrating the Quinceañero of Frances

The day has come to put all the planning of the big Quinceañero into play.  Two years of planning and working with the parents, the Quinceañera and the team of vendors has arrived.  This is the day that the parents of the Quinceañera introduce to the community of family and friends their child to a mature young lady.  But remember it is not all about the date and the event, it is about a daughter that is loved. As well as her parents that sacrificed 15 years to bring her to where she is today. The day should be about the Quinceañera but also about the parents being honored. No matter what the Quinceañera will always treasure this day and remember the sacrifices of time, love and money to make this event possible.

Today, stands Frances a little girl, in a few minutes watch as she transforms into a young lady in her high heels to enter the world.  So let’s all Celebrate Frances as this beautiful transformation takes place.

Frances and the Prince by carriage

27 Miracles wants to extend a special thank you to the following vendors that made this day a success.

Megapixel Video, Miami Pro DJ’s, AJ Photography, Jose Betancourt Hair and Makeup, Unique Cakes by Frances, Minerva’s Bridals and Quinceañeras, RJ Glamour and Innovation, Orlando Wedding and Party Rentals, Chair Affair, Catherine Way Harp Strings, Mireya’s Mariachi Band, Bjoely Catering, The Eagle Eye Bodyguards and the team at 27 Miracles that made this happen for 470 people at the event!!!

Enjoy the video!!!

A Surprise For The Quinceañera

27 Miracles always tries to do a little something for each client that they have.  In this instance the father of the Quinceañera was not able to be involved in planning the Quinceañero because it is something that the Quinceañera and her mother were involved with the planner.  So of course when Dad asked planner Rosie Moore of 27 Miracles, to assist him in something that would be a surprise to his daughter without his wife knowing, 27 Miracles was more than happy to comply.

Watch as the Quinceañera is surprised by her father and a few of the vendors and bodyguards at the Quinceañero.

Thinking of Getting Engaged During The Holidays?

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!! A time for reflection, spending time with family and the start of holiday shopping for loved ones.  In particular that girl that makes your world rock!! So are you thinking of popping the question sometime over the holidays?  27 Miracles wants to assure you that buying a diamond for that special person doesn’t have to be a difficult process.  The difficult process is finding that special someone who you want to spend the rest of your life with.  The rest, will fall in place as far as shopping is concerned and planning.  Now as for shopping, do your homework and think carefully about what your girlfriend will like.  Here are some pointers on diamond shopping:

A diamond’s price will depend on the carat, clarity, cut and color.

Carat is the actual weight of the diamond.  Whether 1 carat or 1/2 carat.  The way the diamond is cut and mounted, can make a diamond appear larger or smaller than its actual weight.

Clarity is the presence of inclusions in a diamond. What are inclusions you ask?  Inclusions are fractures or minerals in the stone itself that are in the diamond when they are being formed in the earth.  They look like crystals, clouds and shadows inside the diamond.  They are ranked on a scale for clarity from F( Flawless) all the way to the letter I.  Some inclusions in a diamond are not visible because the way it is set it is hidden in the mounting.

Color is graded also on  a scale from D( colorless) to Z.  diamonds are not all white, there are some that are blue, green, yellow, orange, pink or red which is very rare.  Although a white colored diamond is the most popular.

Cut  is the angle and proportion of how the diamond is cut.  A well cut diamond will reflect light internally from one facet of the Diamond to another.  When a diamond is cut too deep or too shallow it will lose light and make the diamond look dull.   Cut also refers to shape, round, pear, marquis or the heart are a few examples.  The most brilliant stone of all diamond shapes is the round because it is symmetrical and reflects all the light that enters it.

Now how much should you spend? Buying a diamond is forever so think wisely.  The diamond will represent a large emotional committment and financial investment.  It may in the future be passed on to family and it will become a family heirloom.

So happy shopping and be sure to contact 27 Miracles after your shopping is done and she says yes! We will help you plan your special day.  If you would like 27 Miracles to  take you shopping for that special someone or arrange the surprise engagement and capture it on photo, video or both,  give us a call and we can arrange that, 407-905-5454.

Until next time….
