Christmas Countdown Day 17 Celebrate the Funnies

Did you ever have something go wrong during the holidays?  Yes, I am sure everyone has had an incident or two, cookies get forgotten for a party after you baked them, oven doesn’t get turned on with your ham, or any number of things.  Learn to laugh about them, write them down and these will become your memories for Christmases to come.  One year I remember being so busy and doing so much, I made a cheesecake the night before, chilled it and it was ready to serve on Christmas day.  I served it and everyone said boy this is good ( saving face, gotta love family) I took one taste and realized, I forgot to add the sugar!! Today, my Dear Husband reminds me every year, don’t forget to add sugar to your famous cheesecake!

Christmas Countdown Day 12 Tie One On

Tie an apron! When you start baking all those delicious cookies and cakes, and you add a little festivity to it with a Christmas apron, it puts you in the spirit of Christmas;  especially when shared with your special someone!  It is not so much about the baking, but more about the moment that you share with your sweetheart or the kids!

So this Christmas season, bake away and make memories!

“Drink in Merriment”

“Dark chocolate reduces blood pressure.  Try this heat 3/4 cup milk in saucepan over medium heat until just before boiling.  Remove from heat and transfer to a large mug.  Stir in 1 ounce coarsely chopped bittersweet or semisweet chocolate pieces.  Let stand about 30 seconds then stir to combine.” Better Homes and Garden

Hot cocoa is not just for Santa!  I love to be able to sit in our family room after a long day of work and watch a movie as a family and serve hot cocoa.  The kids grow up fast, start a tradition and build memories while you can so that when they do grow up they have memories to share with their kids.

“Reach Out to Others”

” “Take a day to move outside your normal circle of acquaintances”, suggests Pauline Wallin, a clinical psychologist and life coach in Camp Hill, PA.  “Call a long-lost friend to wish them a happy holiday.  Or join the camaraderie of  community activities, such as a town square tree lighting and holiday plays.”  Better Homes and Gardens

What a perfect way to end the day remembering the excitement in my little boy’s face today as we were watching the Winter Garden Christmas Parade today.  Everyone is there for the same reason to enjoy and support those in the parade.  These are the memories to build with family.

I remember back in 2010, how 27 Miracles did the Big Christmas Extravaganza and closed down the streets in Winter Garden to be able to host an event of entertainment to benefit Toys for Tots, Honor those serving Our Country, Support and raise awareness for Breast Cancer and to allow the children of the boys and girls club to come and enjoy the event and receive gifts from Santa!  The little town of Winter Garden really embraced this event with their donations. Check the link here to the event

Why Video is Necessary…The Wedding of Tiffany and Kyle….Eco Friendly Green Wedding

To capture pictures at a wedding is a beautiful thing as you imagine what the facial expressions mean and what they were saying to each other; but when you combine the pictures with video, that is when you can see those facial expressions come to life.  27 Miracles sometimes gets brides that ask is a video really necessary?  Our reply is most definitely, not that we have anything to gain from it, but the memories that you will have after the wedding to share with family, friends and your children for years to come will be worthwhile for the investment.

Watch this beautiful wedding filmed at the Lakefront of the Science Center under a 300- plus-year-old tree, it was there before the signing of the US Constitution!! Tiffany our bride had done the research about this tree being eco-friendly she wanted to know the history of everything that would be the most important day of her and Kyle’s life.  With their reception amongst the oldest animals on the planet, the dinosaurs.  Congratulations to Tiffany and Kyle on their eco-friendly green wedding!!!
