Happy Engagement to Alicia and Michael on Valentine’s Day!!!

Happy Valentine’s Day to Alicia and Mike our Engaged Couple of the month!!!! 27 Miracles loves to tell a happy couples story on how they became engaged along with their engagement photos.  Today let me introduce to you Alicia and Mike.

Alicia and Mike got engaged on August 2, 2013 at the Orlando International Airport.  When I asked Alicia to tell us the story of how that happened, here is her story.  ” We were on our way to visit my parents in NC for the weekend.  Little did I know that Michael had already contacted my parents to ask for their permission to marry me.  So as we were waiting for the plane, Michael told me that he had purchased a wedding book and handed it to me.  We had been talking about getting married, but I didn’t know that this was THE MOMENT,  As I opened the book, there was the ring.  Michael had cut a hole in the middle of the book and placed the ring inside.  I was in complete shock!  I asked him if this was really happening.  He then said you aren’t saying anything and I jokingly said you didn’t ask me…so then he asked “will you marry me” and of course I said YES!

Julie Brewer Photography and the couple chose Lake Eola for their special engagement photo shoot.  It was a chilly Sunday afternoon, but the warmth of their love made for beautiful pictures.  Thank you Julie for creating special memories for our happy couple Alicia and Michael.

Rosie Moore, Master Bridal Consultant met Alicia and Michael the same day that they arrived home from NC.  As they were driving back to Orlando they were calling 27 Miracles.  27 Miracles can’t wait to see this happy pair get married on their special day!  Follow us on our blog to see when and where this happy couple ends up on their wedding day!!

Happy Valentine’s Day to all the happy couples out there!!

Sometimes we at 27 Miracles don’t always get to meet our clients before the big question is popped( although we get the cal the next day ) But in preparation for the upcoming Valentine’s Day Season, we know a lot of girls get engaged during this time.  Rosie Moore, Master Bridal Consultant for 27 Miracles found this article from AAWP to be informative for guys shopping for their girlfriends’ ring.  Happy Shopping!!!

The “Make” and YOUR Diamond Engagement Ring: What YOU Need To Know BEFORE Purchase!

Hi AAWPs: What is the biggest investment you’re going to make when it comes to your wedding? And I mean investment. or the one item that you’re going to purchase that may actually gain in value over the years and become a life-long treasure, keepsake, or even heirloom? That item is your diamond engagement ring.

RING GREG NICHOLS

Most American women receive diamonds when they become engaged, so it’s critical that you learn all you can about diamonds before you purchase one. We’re always amazed by brides-to-be who say: “I’m looking for a great diamond, with minimal inclusions (in other words, flaws) and great color.” And our retort is: “What about the “make”?” Let us explain. A diamond may be flawless with the greatest color possible, but if the make is bad, it will appear dull and lifeless, like a piece of paste. That’s why “make” is the most important factor to consider when purchasing the most beautiful diamond you can afford. The make is the cut, proportioning and finish of a diamond. and if the make is poor, you’ll make a poor purchase.

Tiffany’s in its How to Buy a Diamond brochure says, “A word of caution: Few diamonds are properly cut. The vast majority are spread.” This means that the stone has been cut to appear bigger, with a big downside. As Tiffany’s states, “Beauty and brilliance are sacrificed for size and the customer is unknowingly paying for this extra padding. ” In other words, folks, you’re being ripped off So don’t forget to ask your jeweler that all important question. How’s the “make”? Then let him/her explain whether the stone’s been cut for brilliance and beauty. or whether it’s spread? As an educated consumer, it’s up to you to know the difference!

Thinking of Getting Engaged During The Holidays?

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!! A time for reflection, spending time with family and the start of holiday shopping for loved ones.  In particular that girl that makes your world rock!! So are you thinking of popping the question sometime over the holidays?  27 Miracles wants to assure you that buying a diamond for that special person doesn’t have to be a difficult process.  The difficult process is finding that special someone who you want to spend the rest of your life with.  The rest, will fall in place as far as shopping is concerned and planning.  Now as for shopping, do your homework and think carefully about what your girlfriend will like.  Here are some pointers on diamond shopping:

A diamond’s price will depend on the carat, clarity, cut and color.

Carat is the actual weight of the diamond.  Whether 1 carat or 1/2 carat.  The way the diamond is cut and mounted, can make a diamond appear larger or smaller than its actual weight.

Clarity is the presence of inclusions in a diamond. What are inclusions you ask?  Inclusions are fractures or minerals in the stone itself that are in the diamond when they are being formed in the earth.  They look like crystals, clouds and shadows inside the diamond.  They are ranked on a scale for clarity from F( Flawless) all the way to the letter I.  Some inclusions in a diamond are not visible because the way it is set it is hidden in the mounting.

Color is graded also on  a scale from D( colorless) to Z.  diamonds are not all white, there are some that are blue, green, yellow, orange, pink or red which is very rare.  Although a white colored diamond is the most popular.

Cut  is the angle and proportion of how the diamond is cut.  A well cut diamond will reflect light internally from one facet of the Diamond to another.  When a diamond is cut too deep or too shallow it will lose light and make the diamond look dull.   Cut also refers to shape, round, pear, marquis or the heart are a few examples.  The most brilliant stone of all diamond shapes is the round because it is symmetrical and reflects all the light that enters it.

Now how much should you spend? Buying a diamond is forever so think wisely.  The diamond will represent a large emotional committment and financial investment.  It may in the future be passed on to family and it will become a family heirloom.

So happy shopping and be sure to contact 27 Miracles after your shopping is done and she says yes! We will help you plan your special day.  If you would like 27 Miracles to  take you shopping for that special someone or arrange the surprise engagement and capture it on photo, video or both,  give us a call and we can arrange that, 407-905-5454.

Until next time….
