Valentine’s Day Countdown Day 12….Graduation Surprise

When the love of your life, your BFF is graduating from College, you stop and ask yourself, what is the best gift I can give ? Well that is what Blake was thinking about and he did not have to think too hard to find the perfect gift….

Here is their story….

On June 27, 2014 Karla was graduating from Keiser University. Karla’s dad was in town for the first time in 5 years as he would not miss this important day, family was present at the graduation. Karla’s dad dropped her and Blake off to prepare for graduation. As the students practiced their entrance and exit, the Dean of the school made an announcement and stated that before he starts letting people in for the graduation, there was a special speaker with a few words to say.

At this time Karla focused her eyes on the aisle and saw Blake walking down the aisle towards the stage. Karla was looking around wondering why is he walking on the stage. Once he reached the stage he spoke in the microphone and said, “Hello everyone my name is Blake and I want to say a few things about my girlfriend Karla.” Everyone turned around wondering who is Karla and soon they figured it out as Blake addressed Karla. Karla remembers that Blake spoke the most amazing and sweetest things about her. One of the teachers asked Karla to stand up and walk on to the stage. Karla shared, with planner Rosie Moore, that at this point she was at a loss for words, she was in shock that Blake would speak freely about his love for her in front of so many people because Blake is very reserved.

When Karla walked on the stage, Blake got down on one knee and asked Karla to marry him. Karla shared that she was still in shock and had forgotten to answer him and everyone in the room was screaming “SAY YES” and then of course she said yes and they walked off the stage. Karla shares that this proposal was a total surprise and the most memorable proposal she’s ever seen.

Love makes us do things that are sometimes out of our comfort zone when it comes to surprising the one we love all in the name of Romance. We have had grooms sing for their brides, grooms bring in Disney characters, roses, and so many other things that create the element of surprise…..

When you are in love, don’t ever think that an idea is silly. If you truly love that special someone, do not worry that you are singing off-key, do not fear that you are not good at public speaking, just love that person enough to say I love you and I will travel the ends of the world for you and if that means getting on a stage front of people I don’t know to say that I Love you I will…..

Valentine’s Day Countdown Day 7…When A Man Loves a Woman….

It is true what the song says, When a man loves a woman, he can’t keep his mind on anything but her. When Rosie Moore, Master Bridal Consultant for 27 Miracles met Nayya, she got a chance to hear Nayya’s story of Love between her and Jose. Jose was an active duty soldier in Afghanistan. She and Jose wanted to plan their wedding for September because that is when she thought that he would get leave from the service. In early November, Nayya got the word that Jose would be coming home soon, and they can push the wedding up to May on Memorial Day Weekend.

What excitement Nayya had to hear that her true love, would be home soon. He told her that it may not be until January or February, but he would be home. Nayya continued her wedding planning with Rosie and leading her every day life. Waiting for the love of your life when there are so many things going on in Afghan and other places was not an easy thing. Many times Nayya would share her concerns with Rosie about the wait, but would be comforted by words of hope and prayer that Rosie could offer that he will be home soon.

As the holidays approached, Nayya proceeded with her busy life and getting herself ready with her family for the holidays. On Christmas Eve there was an unexpected knock at the door, she opened the door and to her surprise, there was Jose standing in the doorway with his arms open wide saying, “I am home!” What a Christmas blessing! Of course he still had some monthly trainings to attend, but he was home from Afghanistan, he had served his time!

This happy couple was married On Memorial Day Weekend at the beautiful Shades of Green Resort.

When there is love…nothing stands in the way….

One of the things 27 Miracles wedding planner Rosie Moore, loves doing is a good wedding surprise for each and every couple. The joy that it brings to her heart is amazing. She plans each wedding as if it were her own with love and caring for her special bride ane groom. When Kimberly and Steve planned their wedding day, they wanted to do something for their mothers that they would not forget. Kimberly being an event planner in Melbourne at FIT( Florida Institute Technology) had met Myles Savage of the Platters. He had heard that she was getting married and offered to sing at her wedding. That was great news! But he had a concert the very same day so he could not stay long. Kimberly and Steve were happy with having him sing two songs for the mothers at the top of the preceremony after the mothers had entered. Kimberly had said I will be happy hearing him from my dressing room.

Hearing Myles Savage from a dressing room. Hmm, Planner Rosie Moore began to think ahead when the plans were being made. She contacted Myles and asked if he could sing a wedding song about love of his choice to the bride and groom when they got to the altar if we started the ceremony earlier. He indicated that he would love to!

One other surprise that was planned for Kimberly was having Louise of the Royal Plaza Hotel there. Louise is the catering manager that had been working with us for two years on the wedding weekend for Kimberly and Steve. Well, knowing how much Louise loved the Platters and knowing how much Kimberly loved Louise, how can Rosie not make that happen. Just before Kimberly was to go out, Rosie surprised her in her room with a visit from Louise. She was so thrilled to have Louise there.

Here it is the day of the wedding, with torrential rain that could stop traffic. All that Rosie Moore could think about was, Kimberly, Steve and her Father’s surprise not being able to get through due to the rain delaying the guests. Most of the guests were from out-of-state or out-of-town. But as the afternoon progressed, that was not the case, guests were showing up early. Oh boy when it came time for preceremony we had a full house!!

Rosie went to work and got the musicians to shorten preceremony and here comes the bride with her dad. As she got to the altar with her father, the minister thanked everyone for coming and on cue, Myles Savage of the Platters sang Twilight Time. Kimberly, Steve and her father were all too surprised as you can see the expression on all of their faces.

When you pay your love forward to someone else, it comes back to you two fold…..Love with your heat daily…..

Jhanay and Deandre’s Dream Wedding

Marcus Moore, with Sensational Ceremonies had the privilege of performing the wedding ceremony of Jhanay and Deandre on February 23, 2014. I had been putting off writing her story, just because we get busy in our life. But this morning I felt a compelling need to sit at my computer and share her story with you . Read until the end, her story will touch you. What is so special about this wedding? Read The Dream team’s story about Jhanay and you will see.

“On Friday, February 8 2014, Jamie Holmes, Founder of Jamie’s Dream Team, had the privilege to meet a wonderful mother by the name if Jhanay along with her family at Magee Women’s Hospital of UPMC.

Jhanay, who is a 28 year-old loving mother, with two amazing young sons, and with a very caring extended family. Jhanay’s health issues started for her at the age of 25 with breast cancer, and has since spread to her spine, lungs and brain. Unfortunately the doctors have given her no a chance for full recover. However, Jamie’s Dream Team stepped up to give her that one dream she had, which was to take her two sons, age 5 and 10, to Walt Disney World, like the memories she had as a child with her family.

Then on Thursday, February 13 2014, Jhanay informed Jamie’s Dream Team, that her long-term boyfriend had proposed and that she and DeAndre are planning a surprise wedding for the family while in the Orlando area. Again Jamie’s Dream Team stepped up to plan a wedding in less than 10 days.

However thanks to the amazing Pittsburghers who made donations and for the amazing wedding vendors in Florida, not only did Jhanay have a wedding of her dreams on Sunday February 23, 2014, but she was surrounded by her wonderful and loving family.

Happy Anniversary to Missy and Eric

Today is not only terrific tunes Thursday, but it is also the 1 year wedding anniversary of our Disney Princess and Prince, Michelle and Eric. 1 Year ago today on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon, these two love birds said I Do. They were married at the Castle Hotel with all the pomp and circumstance of a Disney wedding, full of surprises, special songs and decor by RJ Glamour and Innovation.

The groom wanted to take the time to surprise his beautiful bride and said, ” I don’t know what to do, but I trust you, make her happy.” Rosie Moore, Master Bridal Consultant for 27 Miracles went to work. She thought she would surprise them both at the same time. Watch as the vendors surprise Missy, with red roses to the electric parade song from Walt Disney Land( they were honeymooning in California, so most appropriate to find this song in honor of their honeymoon). Thansk God for a great MC and DJ, Roque Productions to step right in with Rosie’s ideas!

Now watch as the bride and groom both receive a surprise from Belle to the song, “If You Can Dream.” The bride’s favorite character besides Tinker Belle, is Belle from Beauty and the Beast and the groom’s favorite character is Goofy. So what a better way to surprise them both by having Belle dance with goofy. Such a touching moment that brought tears of joy to many including the bride.

Proposal On Board the Cruiselines

A proposal on board the cruise lines to the Bahamas…..What a way to propose….That is how Cedric and Lauren got engaged. Cedric tells the story that he was at dinner and they had the cruise photographers asking who wanted to take pictures, so he took advantage of that moment and decided that he would ask Lauren to be his wife. Sure enough after dinner they went to get their pictures taken and as the photographer kept Lauren entertained, Cedric got down on one knee and proposed. By the look on Lauren’s face she was totally surprised!

Congratulations to Lauren and Cedric on their upcoming wedding!

Dee’s Rose Surprise Celebration at Her Quince

When Quinceañero Planner Rosie Moore gets requests to surprise the Quinceañera she uses her Rose Surprise to rally up the vendors and distract everyone from what is really happening. In this instance the surprise was a mime dancer that prepared a special dance for the Quinceañera.

Another Surprise for Alyssa the Christmas Blessing Bride!!

27 Miracles knew all along that there would be an extra special surprise for our bride and groom Alyssa and Francisco, but they waited awhile to reveal it to them when the final product came about. Sometimes our clients don’t get to see everyone that made a difference in their wedding and this was the case for this couple. Louise from The Royal Plaza Hotel donated a 2 Night stay at the beautiful Royal Plaza Hotel in a Junior Suite in Downtown Disney for their honeymoon. But for many months, Louise was just a name, Rosie Moore, Master Bridal Consultant for 27 Miracles, wanted to change that. Rosie arranged a surprise meeting for the bride to meet Louise and at the same time receive her wedding gown, that was preserved by 27 Miracles through the Wedding Gown Preservation and her bouquet preserved through Keepsake Floral. These companies made this possible for Alyssa and Francisco to have.

Thank you Bruce from Treasured Moments Videography…finding a good hiding spot is always a fun thing!! But Bruce is willing to make it happen for the sake of a great memory for the bride and groom!!

A Honeymoon Gift for Ivonne and Andrew

On August 12, 2012 Lara from Romantic Travel Belize shared a special gift in person with Ivonne and Andrew. Prior to the wedding day, Lara from Belize had offered a 4 day 3 night stay at Tranquility Bay Resort in Belize. 27 Miracles had a big hurdle to get over to make this honeymoon happen for Ivonne and Andrew, airfare!! 27 Miracles started the fund raiser, WTSP Channel 10 interviewed Rosie Moore of 27 Miracles, Ivonne and Andrew in St Pete to reach out to people to donate the airfare and they were to contact Rosie for the details. It was a hard job to keep Ivonne and Andrew clueless as to their destination.

Andrew worked for an airline, but they did not fly to the island of Belize. However it did fly to other places stateside that could assist with the connecting flight to Belize. The funds were raised and we were able to get them a flight with the assistance of Andrew’s mom, to Belize; about 5 days before the wedding( talk about close!!!). Here was the catch, in order for Ivonne to fly on the airline that Andrew worked for they had to be married! Oh my, what to do as there was a two week paper work process? This was started simultaneous to looking for the connecting flight and raising funds for that flight.

On the day of Ivonne and Andrew’s food tasting, Ivonne suggested that she get married in order to book her flight. Luckily Marcus Moore wedding officiant was on site and quickly pulled up his vows on his I Phone and to work he went making a nice Christian ceremony on the spot. Ivonne and Andrew were lined up outside to practice the “rehearsal” ( wink wink, only Donna Cook from the Sheraton and Rosie Moore knew about the surprise impromptu wedding ceremomy) then just before beginning the ceremony, they let their parents know this was for real. The father of the bride said wait she si still my daughter for two weeks, I will consent for legal paperwork only. He did tell Andrew hands off his princess until the wedding night!!!

It was the first wedding ceremony at the newly renovated . Sheraton in Lake Buena Vista.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Andy Steward!! But their true wedding date will alwasy be 8/12/12 teh date that they had their friends and family present to witness this miracle occasion.

Today Ivonne is in remission for her Hodgkins Lymphoma and we pray for her health to continue this way so that their dreams can be fulfilled to start a family and enjoy each other for years to come.
